RealPage Locked Out EliseAI's Apollo. Pay Attention.
RealPage CEO Dirk Wakeham says EliseAI's AI leasing agent, Apollo, got paused because EliseAI never submitted it for integration review in the first place. He's also getting reports that EliseAI is "actively trying to work around our controls." That's a platform owner saying, in public, that a vendor tried to skip the line and then jimmy the lock.
Here's why this should matter to you even if you've never touched either product. You're being sold AI leasing assistants on the promise that they plug into your existing stack without friction. This is what it looks like when that promise breaks: two vendors arguing in trade press about who approved what, while your PMS and your lead flow sit in the middle of it.
Before you sign anything AI-agent shaped, ask the integration question directly, in writing: has this been formally reviewed and approved by the platform it connects to, or is it riding on an API connection nobody signed off on. Don't take the sales deck's word for it. Ask your RealPage rep too, since they clearly have opinions right now.
Unknown right now: whether this gets resolved, what "work around our controls" actually means in practice, and whether current Apollo users on RealPage are seeing any functional impact today.
If you're running Apollo, or evaluating it, call your RealPage account rep this week. Not next month.
