New Meta Benchmarks Give You a Number to Argue With

WordStream pulled data from nearly 1,800 Meta Ads campaigns and published fresh 2026 benchmarks by industry, including yours.

For most operators, "how are our Facebook ads doing" gets answered with a vibe. Occupancy's fine, leads feel steady, the regional isn't asking questions this month. That's not a benchmark. That's the absence of a fire.

Now you've got an actual number to hold your CPL against before you renew the same budget on autopilot for another quarter. If your cost per lead is sitting way above the industry line, that's not a Facebook problem, that's a "why did we approve this" problem, and it's worth asking before the next round of insertion orders goes out. If you're beating it, that's a slide for the next ownership meeting, and you should use it.

The specific dollar figure for multifamily isn't in what we've got here, so pull the report before you quote a number to anyone above you. What matters is the habit: check your platform reporting against an outside source at least once a quarter, because Meta's dashboard will always tell you your campaign is doing great. It's grading its own test.

Worth a look before your next budget cycle, not after.
